This estimates a lawn from your own machine rather than a rule of thumb. Square feet over what your mower covers in an hour is the mowing time; the trim, edge and blow go on as minutes; the stop at your crew rate is the labor; the stop charge pays for the drive; and the estimate is per cut, with the season beneath it at the number of cuts. Every figure is yours; the tool publishes no machine rate and no market rate. Free, on the page, no account; the paid plan saves it against the customer and turns it into the invoice.
Square feet over your mower's rate is the mowing time
The lot size divided by the square feet your mower covers in an hour is the mowing time, shown to the nearest minute so it can be checked against the afternoon. The rate is your machine's on your lawns, measured over a week of cuts: a wide deck on open turf and a push mower between beds are different numbers, and the estimate is only as honest as this one input.
The trim as minutes, the stop at your crew rate
Trim, edge and blow take minutes the mower does not, so they go on as time and the stop is the mowing plus the trim. The stop at your crew rate is the labor, and the crew rate is what an hour of the crew and the machine has to earn with overhead and profit in, not a wage.
The stop charge, per cut, and the season
Every visit costs the drive, the unload and the load, the same whether the lawn is small or large, and the stop charge on its own line pays for it; it is why a tiny lawn cannot be cheap. The estimate is per cut because that is what the customer compares, and the season at the number of cuts is what the stop is worth to the route.
Lawn care estimate: common questions
Is this a free lawn care estimate template?
Yes. Enter the square feet, your mower's rate, the trim minutes, your crew rate, the stop charge and the cuts, and it estimates the lawn per cut and for the season on the page with no account and no card. Print it as it stands. MowRouteWorks Pro adds your business name and logo, a PDF without our line, and saving it against the customer so the invoice starts from the estimate.
How do I know my mower's square feet per hour?
Measure it: time a week of cuts on lawns you know the size of, add the square feet, divide by the hours. It is lower than the deck width and ground speed suggest, because of turns, obstacles and the trailer, and it is the only rate the tool will accept, because a brochure figure prices every lawn too low.
Why is the small lawn priced so high per square foot?
Because of the stop charge: the drive, the unload and the load cost the same for a 3,000 square foot lawn as for a 12,000 square foot one, so the small lawn carries it over fewer square feet. The tool shows the stop charge as its own line so the customer can see why, and so the crew can see where the minimum should sit.
